then no, because heat pump efficiency decreases as the temperature of the air it is extracting heat from decreases, to the extent that the efficiency losses would outweigh the gains - it would use less energy overall to heat and cool each device independently respective to ambient air temperature.

If the tumble drier "intake" air was taking air from the outside of the freezer, (so the hot side of its heat pump ) rather than the ambient air

It would be more efficient as the temp difference between tumbler and intake would be less.

In driers are only pumping between the condensing section and the dryer bit, so basically to condense the moisture.

But I think you could add an additional external one.

As they need to keep some stuff warm, and chill some other stuff... Temperature differences are low-ish and there is usually more cool stuff than warm which I think is the better way around.
